Banana Pups - Dwarf Namwah

$35.00
sold out

Dwarf Namwah is one of the most popular banana varieties for Florida growers as it is extremely well adapted to Florida’s unique growing conditions. It’s short and stocky growth habit makes it resistant to harsh winds and cold conditions. It’s also much easier to harvest compared to taller varieties.

The fruits themselves are delicious and versatile. They are dense and chewy and can be enjoyed cooked or fresh out of hand.

Dwarf Namwah excels in an Agroforestry/Food Forest context. Their thick pseudostems are heavy and filled with TONS of water and nutrients that can be used as chop & drop for other plants. They produce lots of pups over time, providing a steady flow of organic matter to a food forest system.

SHIPPING NOTES: Banana pups will be shipped with a healthy corm but will not have any leaves. Bigger pups will be cut to size in order to make shipping easier, this DOES NOT affect the banana pup. As long as the corm is intact and healthy, the banana plant will grow.
